Anyone up for a Smoo-Me today?

That is Red Curlz speak for Smoothie!!! 

After a shopping trip to H.E.B. yesterday I stated how I could really go for a good smoothie, and Red Curlz agreed that she wanted a "smoo-me" too! 

How can you say NO to a face that looks so cute while playing dress up in mommy's shoes?????

I just adore this concept! I picked up the lullaby renditions by Bob Marley awhile back for Red Curlz, and it is just so soothing.

And there are so many more to choose from to suit the genre of your choice!

No, no, no, no, no mommy!

Those were the begging, pleading words uttered from Red Curlz this morning! Something I hear often, but not in this circumstance...

As usual, we were jamming to some old skool Michael Jackson on the way to Day Care/work this morning. I was singing in my best voice, "ABC, easy as 1-2-3, simple as do-re-me..." when all the sudden Red Curlz says, "No, no, no, no, no, no mommy! No sing! I sing it."

Dang. I didn't think I was that bad! Geesh...

Has any other parent experienced such a devestating blow from their 2 year old?

So here is my first Black. White. And Red Curlz All Over. blog and I am oh-so excited!

I created this blog with my little red head in mind, but specifically, to cater to my desires to learn as much as I can from other cultures and share my experiences with raising a biracial child with red hair.

I love finding the most fun and unique baby, toddler and children's clothing, gear and everything else you can think of! Maybe even some things to make our jobs of moms and dads a tad bit easier...

I am a caucasian woman, who does not have red hair, I am married to an African American man, who does not have red hair, and we were blessed with a little girl who was delievered into our arms with very pale light colored skin, and you guessed it - bright red curly hair!

She is a perfect heaven sent blessing...with a little (A LOT*) of sass! *You can see her face!

This is just a part of our story.
