And you have until May 24th to pick up some super cute deals for your little cutie via Zulily.  I dig horoscopes.  I just think they are fun.  And many times, the category you fall under well represents exactly who you are.  Or how you act.  Even if you don't care to acknowledge that fact!

Well, RS Baby has a superb deal for you this week!!  Check out these cute "sign" t-shirts.  They are on sale through May 24th for only $14.99.  So hurry up....

Happy Earth Day

A great way to introduce our kiddos to the environment and how important it is to reduce, reuse and recycle is to lead by example.

Barefoot Books - I am a HUGE fan - has a wonderful array of books to help you on your way.  If we could all be just a tad more conscience of how we do things on a daily basis, we could really make a difference on our beautiful Earth!

Learn how different cultures around the world set out to live in harmony with the natural world.
The seven folk tales are each followed by a hands-on activity that promotes green living
and reinforces the eco-messages of the stories.

Hope you all have a glorious Earth Day and start or continue to LIVE GREEN!

my current favorite gift

Aren't birthday presents hard to buy?  Even when I know the kiddo really well, I always second guess what I am buying for them.  Do they already have it?  Are they too old for this?  You know, those kinds of questions always arise.

But, not anymore.  I found my new favorite birthday gift for kids!

And it even comes packed in its very own tote for easy taking where ever you go!

Currently it is on sale at Target for only $22.49!  It is safe for ages two and up.  Honestly, I can see my 8 year old nephew playing with this too.  I think it is a safe and secure gift for girls and boys.  Aged 2, or aged 8!

Heck, I would even play with it!!!!

One Step Ahead

Hey ya'll!  Sorry I have been missing in action for a bit.  I am back now.  And I wanna share some of my favorite finds in the One Step Ahead Magazine that arrived recently.

First off, for all of my new mommies out there.  I think this bathtub is a must when converting from a baby bath sling to the full sized tub.

We had a ducky one.  It doesn't really matter, as long as it is a soft, inflatable tub.  I like the holders in this particular one.

I am pretty sure I am going to get one of these for Miss Red Curlz.  The Take Along Nightlight.

Not sure about you guys.  But, for me, when I was small.  It was walking down the hallway that always scared me the most.  Being dark in the room did not frighten me, but making the trek to mom and dad's room down the long, dark hallway....well, let's just say, it made me run like H-E-double L!

So, I think it is awesome that you can take the nightlight with you!  Great concept.

And then I found this next contraption quite interesting.  It is a "Turn anything into a bib" thing-a-ma-gingy!

I don't know how many times we are out and I realize Red Curlz has on an adorable outfit and we are about to eat Mexican food, or something.  Problem solved.  Grab a napkin, and Wa-lah!  A bib.  Wonderful.

Be sure to check out your One Step Ahead Magazine or online for the latest, great priced, deals!

Here I go again.  Falling in love.  But, this time it is with Red Velvet Art!  I have already found so many prints that I would love to hang.  Or giveaway as gifts.  Or remind me of someone....the stuff inside this shop is fantastic.  Here are some of my favorites...

(This would probably be Red Curlz motto.
If it wasn't "Eat Dessert First!")

Or you can splurge a bit and get an original painting!  I am just loving this...

Now you go ahead and go pick out your favorites!

Wild Life Prints

I fell in love with these sweet little prints as soon as I saw them.  You can get your very own from the Wild Life Prints Etsy Shop!

They would be adorable in a nursery.  And especially this one in my new nieces room.

Or quirky in a powder room.

Dazzling in a tween room!

And I have NUMEROUS friends I could give this too.
I am Sewing, Hear Me Roar!!!

This one strikes my fancy because the Houston Rodeo is just 'round the corner!

Perfect in a boys room, no?  So silly, I love it!

And this is probably my favorite.

Reminds me of the old saying, "Like a bull in a china closet!"

These prints really do it for me.  Brings in the unique without being too OUT THERE or far out.  Although, they truly are FAR OUT!!!!  Like, totally, dude.

Be sure to take a peek for yourself...just click here!

My Favorite Kind of Books - Barefoot

I want to introduce you all to a wonderful company and producer of my favorite type of books!  This company is known as Barefoot Books.

{image via}

Explore. Imagine. Create. Connect. Give Back. That’s what Barefoot Books is all about. It’s exploring other cultures, our planet, ourselves. It’s making time for make-believe and letting imaginations run wild and free. Most of all, it’s about using the power of stories to nourish the creative spark in everyone and strengthen connections with family, the global community, and the earth.

What is not to love about that??!!??  I was doing a Craft Show recently and there was a Barefoot Books Booth set up very close to mine.  I bartered.  Traded a piece of my artwork for two terrific books for Red Curlz.  The very noticable difference in Barefoot books is the amazing illustrations!  They are oh so lovely and bold.

Red Curlz is the proud owner of...

The CD/song that goes with this book is terrific!  So catchy...we sing it all the time!  And we take it to Day Care to share with her class.  They all love it.  Click on the title above and you can hear a clip of the audio.

Another great thing about Barefoot Books website is they provide tabs for age groups, so picking out the perfect book, for the perfect kiddo is just a click away!

I think this will be my next purchase for Red Curlz...

Not only is this an amazing book to have in your collection, but Barefoot books will donate ten percent of sales from Whole World to benefit global conservation.  Beat that.

And you can.  By Books that Give Back!  This, and many other books you purchase, will ship directly to children in schools and libraries across Africa.

This is the kind of company that I would like to support.  You should definitely go check them out for yourself!

Lil' Scribblers

Etsy is all the rage, I know.  I love it myself.  I even set up a "store" but never got around to putting any of my art listings up.  So.  It sits.

Anywho - here is another terrific etsy store!  LIL BOO & CO.

They sell fantastic chunky crayons!  That fit perfectly into the pint sized hands we all know so well.

How much fun would your kiddo have with these?  It is an excellent way to teach your little one how to spell their name, while they color!

And they are extremely affordable, in my opinion, and would make a perfect gift.  I think these lego ones are my favorites.

Or these Lady Bug designs...

And these Roller Skate ones tug at my heart strings....oh those were the days?!?!

Hope on over and check out Lil Boo & Co.  You will not be disappointed.
