I have been a terrible blogger over here at my Red Curlz blog. I apologize, but it seems that life is getting in the way. Or shall I say this blog is getting in the way of life? And I just don't have time to keep up with it anymore!

I started this blog to separate all of the wonderful clothes and deals I would find out there in the baby, toddler, child world...but, now? The economy has changed. The way I spend has changed. Therefore, the way I post on this blog has changed.

I do believe this is my last post here.

1. I will accept the talents, strengths and weaknesses of each of my children.

2. I will acknowledge that they need to go through challenges and complex situations on their own and to learn from failures.

3. I will not berate them and make them feel less valuable based on how they perform because I do not want to cause undue stress, anxiety, or resentment towards me or their activity.

4. I will let them know I am proud of them no matter what.

5. I will guide them and show them how to be better at their activity but in a manner that does not make them feel worthless.

6. I will be sensitive to my children's developing need for praise and sympathy and will limit my criticism to really important mistakes because I want them accept success with humility and defeat with determination to do better.

7. I will not mention, beyond a casual reference, the successes of other children and will definitely not use another child’s success as a barometer for my child.

8. I will be a good spectator at athletic contests and not hound on what I perceive as a missed call by a referee or coach because I do not want my child to see my participation as an embarrassment.

9. I will teach my children sportsmanlike behavior and to not laugh at or taunt another less skilled child or teammate.

10. I will make sure I always have my own adult hobby or activity to enjoy and love so I don’t have to live vicariously through my child.

I found a wonderous photographer via my favorite online image gallery. Her name is Rebecca Lily. She is incredible. I love her style so much.

Many of her photos of children are in a wooded area. It reminded me so much of Red Curlz 1st birthday party. It was a Woodland Fairies Party and very cute. As are these magnificent captures....

Yes I do!

And I am going to rate it in stars....we all know that 5 stars is a good thing. Right? Actually it is the BEST, when talking about stars. 4 out of 5 stars is still a really good thing.

So, there you have it. Disney on Ice: Let's Celebrate earned 3 out of 5 stars.

And since Red Curlz was on the edge of her seat all.night.long...waiting on Toy Story characters, I thought those 3 stars above should be used in my rating system. I do think it is funny that Red Curlz was so interested in Toy Story? Considering she has NEVER seen the movie? Guess that should be my next purchase.

Back to the review.

Now, ahem, those 3 stars above stole the show. Ha! Not really, but how cute are they? They did steal the pre-show while walking in...

I have to say. I was bored. And I usually get all excited about this kind of stuff. I think the girls enjoyed it though. And that ~~doesn't matter because I was bored~~ is the important part!

I am pretty sure ALL of the Disney characters were there. Which is completely cool, but I think that was why I found it boring. It seemed as if they were ushering in each character to say hello...they did a spin around the rink...and then they were ushering them out so they next one could get ushered in.

Geesh, that's a lot of ushering, if you ask me. Which you didn't, but I am reporting anyway. I am pretty sure my face looked like Woody's when we were leaving. Disappointed and questionable?

And please don't even get me started about the Disney Loot that were hawking everytime you turned a new direction. $22 for a spinning light is ridiculous. And $15 for a sno-cone!?! Take a hike, buddy. That's just wrong. Boooooo on Disney!

That's why I received a heads up from a friend and made.our.own. Take that Disney!

You call me cheap? I call me smart! And no-so-broke.

There is Mickey and Minnie and Pluto for your viewing pleasure...

Yes, the show may have been better if we were not seated next to the clouds. I do understand that.

There is Princess Tiana, aka The Princess and The Frog. She received the warmest reception of the night!

Sandra Bullock Adopted a Baby!

Aren't birthday presents hard to buy? Even when I know the kiddo really well, I always second guess what I am buying for them. Do they already have it? Are they too old for this? You know, those kinds of questions always arise.

But, not anymore. I found my new favorite birthday gift for kids!

Hey ya'll! Sorry I have been missing in action for a bit. I am back now. And I wanna share some of my favorite finds in the One Step Ahead Magazine that arrived recently.

First off, for all of my new mommies out there. I think this bathtub is a must when converting from a baby bath sling to the full sized tub.

We had a ducky one. It doesn't really matter, as long as it is a soft, inflatable tub. I like the holders in this particular one.

I am pretty sure I am going to get one of these for Miss Red Curlz. The Take Along Nightlight.

Not sure about you guys. But, for me, when I was small. It was walking down the hallway that always scared me the most. Being dark in the room did not frighten me, but making the trek to mom and dad's room down the long, dark hallway....well, let's just say, it made me run like H-E-double L!

I know I want it. But, do I need, NEED it? That is another question, right? Yep, that's what I thought.

I love this print OH SO much, as it obviously reminds me of Red Curlz. Not only because of the fantastic hair color, but because I always dress her in bright colors. I think this print is a NEED!

They sell fantastic chunky crayons! That fit perfectly into the pint sized hands we all know so well.

I am just in love with the simplicity and natural feel to this Boys Room!

I adore that Gnome side table. And the lovely "bird houses" hanging out above the little reading spot in the corner...so perfect! Simple, but perfect.
